Wow - this recipe contains a lot of different ingredients that contribute to the relatively high cost. The price is brought high by a number of ingredients such as rum, pecans, dried currents, dried blueberries, dried cherries, dried apricots and crystalized ginger. The large amount of ingredients make this recipe somewhat annoying to make. The calorie content is quite high, but that is to be expected from a dense fruit cake.
