Like most classic lasagnas, this dish is quite expensive to make as well as high in calories. There are just so many high-calorie, high-cost ingredients in this dish and it's difficult to really take anything away. Perhaps this dish really makes up to 8 servings, in which case the calories content would be slightly reduced.
