This is a quite rich as well as expensive dish. What brings up the cost in this recipe is the one cup of pecans. Pecans, while you can sometimes find a large pack for a reasonable price, are usually quite expensive. For a somewhat cheaper cost, try to subsitute the pecans for almonds or walnuts.
