This is a very basic and straight-forward recipe. It is questionable though, if this soup feeds 4 people. Since this soup only contains about 2 1/2 cups of liquid, it seems unlikely that it would feed 4 people as a main meal, however perhaps as an appetizer or side dish, this soup would be perfect.
