Cumin, Ground Cumin has a strong, heavy and warm aroma with a pungent sharp and bitter flavor. The seeds are found dried or ground to a brownish-green color. Commonly used in mixtures such as curry powder, spice mixtures, stews, lamb, chicken dishes, rice, beans, cakes, eggplant and vegetables. Also used as a pickling ingredient for cabbage, sauerkraut and chutneys.
