Avocado with herb cheese on hard bread

Lately we have been having a lot of avocado, which I think is a truly underrated vegetable (although i believe it is technically a fruit). It is such a delicious treat and every time we make something out of it, we rave almost surprised of its taste - as if we forgot before that point how truly creamy, delicious and wonderful avocado really is.

This is a very simple way to serve avocado as a nibble or small appetizer - these little bite-size pieces will be gone in no time!

Ingredients:
  • 3-4 pieces of hard bread, broken in pieces (or your favorite hard crackers)
  • 1 ripe avocado, sliced
  • 1/2 cup of cream cheese
  • 1 garlic clove, pressed
  • fresh chopped herbs (parsley, basil...)
  • lemon pepper
  • salt


Method:

Mix the cream cheese with the pressed garlic, chopped herbs and lemon pepper. Spread on bite-sized hard bread, top with a slice of avocado and sprinkle some salt on top. Serve immediately.
