Brand & Type: All-Clad Deluxe Slow Cooker, from Williams-Sonoma WS
slowcooker

Price range: High, around $250

Rating: High

Description: All-Clad Deluxe 7 Quart slow cooker with a removable cast-aluminum insert.

Pros: We like how the insert functions as a piece of cookware itself. You can start off with browning meats and vegetables on the stove top with this insert, then put in the slowcooker and add liquids.

Cons: The price. This is a quite hefty price for a slow cooker.

Conclusion: This is quite a nice piece of equipment that can be worth the cost if you utilize a slow cooker a lot. The removable insert is a nice feature that will add new dimensions to your slow cooking dishes as browning promotes flavor. You can also take the insert out of the slow cooker and serve directly on the table. This is however a quite expensive item, as we bought a Rival Slowcooker for $20 that has been more than sufficient. This pot is also larger than the standard 5 quart slow cooker which is nice.
