Steaming basket addition allows you to steam vegetables while the rice is cooking. Nice and small size that doesn't take much counter space. Cons: Questionable nonstick coating. Boils over quite easily. Conclusion: This is a great looking machine - so elegant and slick. It doesn't however perform as well as it looks. The lid gets really hot and it boils over easily.
