When Thanksgiving is over and all the guests have left, then you can make turkey sandwiches with leftover turkey,turkey_sandwich mashed potatoes, gravy and cranberry sauce. Many people consider that sandwich to the best part of Thanksgiving!

A really tasty Thanksgiving sandwich is made on good hearty bread and stuffed with all the accompaniments. If you make cold sandwiches, then it's tasty to put some mayo on the bread. However, we prefer to make hot open faced turkey sandwiches in the oven.

If you don't have cranberry sauce, then some apple sauce works fine too. We usually don't put bread stuffing on these sandwiches, since you utilize slices of bread anyway. These are perfect at night for a snack or for a deluxe lunch.

Tip! If you don't have left-overs from Thanksgiving, then you could simply buy deli turkey slices, make some mashed potatoes and pour over some cranberry sauce. That's a tasty sandwich any time of year!

Assemble the sandwich: place the turkey, the cranberry sauce, the mashed potatoes and the gravy on the sandwich. Bake in a 350 degree F oven for about 10-15 minutes until heated through. Serve with some additional cranberry sauce or apple sauce.
