Walnut Bread

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup butter (12 tb)
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 1 egg-beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Method:

In a large mixing bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder & salt. Cut in butter and stir in 1/14 cups walnuts. Add egg, milk & vanilla.

Mix just until ingredients are blended & then put in a greased & floured 9 x 5 loaf pan. Sprinkle remaining walnuts over top.

Bake at 350 degree oven for 60 -70 minutes.
