We had a lot of fresh picked strawberries left over and we decided to use them in a jam. We actually made the jam on a hot grill outside. Ingredients - 2 cups diced strawberries
- 1/2 cup white sugar
Method We used a nice all-clad 2 quart pot, which we also use to make candy with. Place the cut up strawberries and sugar in the pot and place on the heat. Stir over a hot grill or stove-top, every few minutes. The jam will begin to thicken in 10-15 minutes. As it boils continue to stir. When the jam has cooled off place it in a mason jar or other container. In the refrigerator this will last about a week This jam is great for breakfast on toast or if you heat it up it you could put it over ice cream.
