Fresh Peach Cake

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 6 ripe peaches


Method:

Combine: 1/4 cup sugar, 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tbsp butter.

Cream butter & sugar until fluffy. Add egg-beat in milk & vanilla, mix well. Sift dry ingredients over this mixture & mix until blended.

Flour your hands & press cake mixture into 9 inch cake pan, push up on sides a bit. Arrange sliced peaches over batter. Mix sugar & cinnamon & sprinkle over top. Add pats of butter on top of the peaches. Bake in a 375 degrees oven in about 40 minutes.
