For a special touch, it can certainly be nice to have the groom and the father of the bride wear a boutonniere which is basically a flower bud which is worn at the lapel. Just like the bride carries a wedding bouquet, a boutonniere is a nice way of getting a bit more dressed up, and perhaps match the bride in the choice of flowers.
