If you're in need of some Pella Door Hardware Replacement then you might have to check around some in order to find what you're looking for. Pella storm door hardware replacements are available for different models and sizes, however if you have a model which they currently don't make anymore then it can sometimes be tricky to find exactly the right part. The first place to look however would be over at Lowes where they sell these doors in the first place. You can find Pella glass storm door hardware replacements, Pella vinyl storm doors hardware replacements, Pella wood storm doors and Pella storm door hardware among other products. If you can't find what you're looking for at one of the hardware or home improvement stores (it can definitely be a good idea to bring the part in and see if they have something similar to it - occasionally door parts are interchangeable so even if they don't have that exact model they might have something similar that also would work), then as a last resort you could always try Ebay or amazon where you sometimes can find things which they don't carry anywhere else.

It definitely makes sense to try to repair your old door as opposed to just buying a new one. After all, a storm door is perfect when you want to protect against letting cold air and bugs into your home, so it can lower your energy bills and also make it more comfortable to keep doors open during the summer to let some cool air in. So to put storm doors up can be a really good investment and there are quite a few different options to choose between. The tricky part can be however if something on your door has broken and you need to replace it. If, after some time looking you can't find the part, it can be better to simply buy a new, better door.

Name: Chris C | Comment: My Pella storm door locks itself when it closes from time to time. I tried taking the locking mechanism off to see if I could repair it but the lock is a self contained unit. I am at a loss with what to do because I don't want to leaves the keys someplace outside to unlock the door when it happens but there have been times that I have taken my dog out at midnight and even though I check the latch everytime I go out it still locks behind me. Any ideas??? It is a newer door, It is 3 years old at the most.
