GioviSport comes to you with 20 years plus background in the fitness industry, having been certified through NASM and ISSA more recently. Giovanna brings her personal experience of participating in sports to this business, giving her a better understanding of how to assit YOU. Her fitness background blends well with her massage training having over 760 hours of course study and currently working at SJC center for the past 2 years and also listed with the massage network. Most patients at SJC are injury related with chronic issues where my goal is to increase range of motion (ROM) and decrease muscle constriction. Giovanna also gives you a nuturing touch that with deeper pressure when needed. So whether you are trying to lengthen your muscle, increase ROM, or relax tired muscles this is the lady to see!

Fitness sessions are from 1 hour to 2 hours depending on course instruction. Equipment used during sessions range from but are not limited to: medicine ball, exercise ball, rubberbands, park benches and jump-ropes. Sessions are held at Neigborhood parks, office gyms, and home gyms. Classes are for all able bodies over the age of 18 years, and in good physical health with no major joint issues.
For Fitness sessions please be sure to bring a Towel, Water Bottle, exercise mat and your desire to Want It!
Remember exercise is way to revitalize your body,mind and soul! It affects more than just your muscle and your bones, it can empower you mentally and physically. And like massage it gets oxygen to your muscles not only keeping them flexible but also strong. Exercising a minimum of 20-30 minutes is day is optimal,including cardiovascular and strength training. Three days of exercise a week is excellent to keep you on the right track.
There are so many parks in Santa Clara county explore a new one every weekend. Find a new trail. Or check our this view at Angel Island in San Francisco, hike or bike, it is a day well spent

What is Sports Massage?
Sports Massage is a special form of massage and is typically used before, during, and after athletic events. The purpose of the massage is to prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries.
Purpose of Sports Massage?
The main purpose of sports massage therapy is to help alleviate the stress and tension which builds up in the body’s soft tissues during physical activity. Where minor injuries and lesions occur, due to overexertion and/or overuse, massage can break them down quickly and effectively. The massage will help prepare the athlete for peak performance, to drain away fatigue, to relieve swelling, to reduce muscle tension, to promote flexibility and to prevent injuries. Sports massage can help prevent those niggling injuries that so often get in the way of performance and achievement, whether a person is an athlete or a once a week jogger.
Types of Techniques?
Depending on the needs of the athlete, a variety of techniques are used. The technique often involves a blend of traditional Swedish Massage and Shiatsu specifically designed to treat professional athletes.
Each type of sport has different demands on the players. Each sport uses muscle groups in a different way. Sports massage is designed to address those specific concerns and may differ according to the sport the athlete plays. Sports massage can be aimed to help heal strained muscles and allow healthy ones to reach peak performance and maintain it while minimizing the risk of injury.
