Brand & Type: Martha Stewart Everyday 11 1/2 inch Cast Iron Skillet

Price range: medium

Rating: 8Martha Stewart Cast Iron Skillet

Description: 11 1/2 inch Cast Iron Skillet.

Pros: good size cast iron skillet

Cons: must be seasoned.

Conclusion: Cast iron is a great material to cook with and this pan is a great everyday size.

For a smaller group (1-3 people) you can usually use a 10 inch cast iron pan without any problems. There is probably no more useful and inexpensive tool to have in the kitchen. And it will last a lifetime with the proper care.

For more information about creating the proper seasoning please see the below article.

From the manufacturer:

"Cast iron heats evenly and quickly and browns food beautifully. Use on stove top or in oven.

Name: | Comment: This is a great pan. Much Much Much Much better to season it yourself and have a "better than Teflon" stick free surface, than to buy the Lodge "PreSeasoned" Brand and get "stuck" with a sticky surface, and in my experience with both, not be able to make it any better than even with the most painstaking attempts to season the PreSeasoned Lodge rough surface.
