Price range: $25 - $35  Rating: Medium Description: 8 inch chef's knife with slip resistant handle made of black fibrox. Pros: Comfortable handle design. Nice sharp blade out of the box. Cons: Blade is stamped, that only matters if you want more weight or a thicker blade. Conclusion: This is a very good knife, and of course it comes with the America's Test Kitchen recommendation. We generally prefer heavier knives from Wusthof but this is a nice knife and it is much cheaper than the $100 German knives.
