Senator Charles (Chuck) Schumer of New York State and Brooklyn Born appeared on the Joe Scarborough Program today. Senator Schumer sounds like the type of guy you might want to play a round of golf with and then have a few beers. Well, he certainly talks a good game. Self effacing may not be the right description for Charles Schumer. He is a Lion when it comes to energy on the stump and actually does a good job for the people of the State of New York. The issue I have with Joe Scarborough and Chuck Schumer is that they almost sounded like they could work together and accomplish something. They are essentially polar opposites in the Political spectrum. Scarborough is a Conservative Republican from Pensacola, Florida and Television Pol/Talk Show Host. Charles Schumer, from Brooklyn, is a Liberal Democrat and one of the hardest working Senators on Capitol hill. Maybe opposites do attract! Schumer really did sound like he wanted to be Senate majority Leader even over his laughable denials to Joe Scarborough. Watch out Harry Reid, it seems to me that more people than just Charles Schumer want you out of your position as Senate Majority leader. You may want to start with President Barack Obama as leading the behind the scenes effort hoping silently that you, Mr. Reid, somehow either lose in Nevada or else lose your title as Senate Majority Leader in an internal battle in the Senate to the heir apparent Mr. Charles (Chuck) Schumer.
