David Axelrod, key "Obama Whitehouse Operative", was a guest on Meet The Press Sunday, June 13, 2010. It certainly appeared to this viewer that Mr. Axelrod was poorly prepared to deal with the questions posed to him by host David Gregory.

Axelrod was like the old "Ralph Cramden" character created by Jackie Gleason. There were so many "ahummina's" in literally every response from Axelrod that I could have sworn it was Gleason reprising his role on the "Honeymooners".

David Gregory pressed Axelrod relative to BP and the Gulf Oil disaster. Axelrod failed in my judgment to adequately answer any of Gregory's questions.

Gregory asked Axelrod why the President dealt directly with the Large Bank Executives and not with BP CEO Tony Hayward? No specifics were put on the table by David Axelrod.

David Gregory went on to ask if BP would in fact put money into the "escrow account" that the Obama Administration is looking for from BP. Again no concrete response from David Axelrod.

Axelrod appeared well off his Campaign rhetoric. When the pressure is on the Obama Administration has failed on multiple occasions to respond timely, forcefully and without looking as though they were cajoled into the action.

Leadership is not just a term. Leadership is a trait required by Chief Executives of any large multi-national company. The United States of America is the largest of the largest; Obama et. al. fall short in dealing with crises. Do not expect anything different in the future with BP or for that matter with countries like Iran and China!
