The People May be The Biggest Losers in 2008 Election Cycle

This election cycle is unlike any other Presidential Election in my Lifetime. I have clear memory of every Presidential Election back to 1956, Eisenhower and Stevenson.

We as a nation have an opportunity to actually accomplish something this year and may be letting that opportunity slip through our fingers. That is if we as citizens and a nation do not allow Hillary and Bill Clinton to have 2008 become their personal and selfish prize.

Barack Obama has emerged as a "breath of fresh air" in 2008. Age, gender, ethnicity, yes they are relevant. There is something even more relevant in 2008. Our country faces, economic, military and social issues that if not addressed will tear at the fiber of our nation for generations yet unborn.

Barack Obama transends age, gender, ethnicity, religion and politics. Barack Obama has that certain something that gets people to stop, listen and take notice of what is before us. Let us not be so transfixed on Hillary Clinton, polarizing and duplicitous that she is, and lose this opportunity.

So...............get up out of your easy chair and make sure that you at the very least tell a friend or even a stranger something positive about the fact that there is a candidate, Barack Obama, that has the credentials to get our country moving again. Yes, the answers to our problems will not be easy and yes there will be some pain involved. But...........as a nation pulling together we can solve our social, economic and geo-political problems and make things better for the next generation.

Comments, opinions.................
