Senator Joe Biden, Democrat Senator from Delaware and Democrat Candidate for President, has been criticized by both the Iraqi Government and indirectly by the Bush Administration (through the American Embassy in Iraq).This criticism comes as a result of his (Senator Biden) non-binding amendment having past the United States Senate by a vote of 75-23 in favor of the Partition of Iraq into three Areas with a weak Central Government. Senator Bidens amendment would create three Federal Areas in Iraq, Kurdish, Shiite, & Sunni with a weak National Government to administer oil revenues. Senator Biden is exactly right with his proposal to Partition Iraq. The Bush administration should act on this immediately. In fact, Senator Biden should be made Secretary of State, Condolezza Rice is totally ineffective. This amendment is the first thing that has made sense in finding a beginning to extricate the United States from Iraq. Political Musings has, just the other day, written an Essay supporting Senator Chuck Hagel R-Nebraska for President and Senator Joe Biden D-Delaware as Vice President to run on the same ticket in 2008.
