Democrat Roland Burris, United States Senator from the State of Illinois, is under severe scrutiny once again over allegations that he had some untoward conversations involving "Quid Pro Quo" with former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich or some member of his (Blagojevich's) cabal. Republicans in Illinois are calling for Roland Burris to step down and resign his seat as United States Senator. It seems to me that there is more here than meets the eye. Do not forget that Burris filled the Vacant seat of President Barack Obama. This point has never quite fully digested with Obama or any other Democrat from Ilinois. The Republicans in Illinois may be doing some of the "heavy lifting" for the Democrats both in Illinois and Nationally. The Democrats were never pleased at having Roland Burris and would like to have a better candidiate to run for re-election. The Republicans see Roland Burris as a means to an end. The Republicans in Illinois are in need of a makeover and need to improve on their not so "Boy Scout" image. Hammering at Roland Burris helps in that matter. So the saga continues. Will Roland Burris remain in the United States Senate? Will the Republicans be victorious in improving their image in Illinois? Will the Democrats be successful in getting Roland Burris to leave the United States Senate? Time will tell. I do not see this issue going away anytime soon....................
