Hillary Clinton is in fact a "monster". A metaphor that is not very far from reality. Samantha Power (now resigned from the campaign) was not incorrect, the problem for Ms. Power is that she lost sight of the fact she was speaking to the media. Hillary Clinton has used that "slip" to her advantage. Any time that Barack Obama spends defending this type of issue takes away from his ability to craft his message to the voters he needs, working class whites. The bigger problem for Barack Obama is the "two for one" strategy that the Clinton's have been subtley using, having Barack Obama as her running mate. First it will never happen. Hillary and Barack just would never get along. Neither would be subservient to the other. The advantage for Hillary Clinton is that she has successfully taken the conversation away from Barack Obama as a Presidential candiate and turned the tables on Obama making him a second in command personality. This thinking works wonders with the less educated, rural working class voters. Barack Obama must win in Pennsylvania, a tall order in a very "Hillary" State. Governor Ed Rendell is the nearest thing the Dem's have to old Mayor Daley from 1968 Chicago fame. Rendell wields significant power in Pennsylvania. It is not impossible that Barack Obama can win in Pennsylvania. Obama has the funds to advertise. What he must do is regain the high road and get the true facts out regarding Hillary and Bill Clinton. I would think that having Hillary Clinton release her tax returns might just prove to be enlightening. More than the release of her tax returns, it would be interesting to see those Whitehouse documents that the Clintons have , so far, been successful in holding back from the public. Barack Obama has enough time to put Hillary Clinton on the defensive. What Barack Obama and his team must do is to get Bill Clinton more in the public eye. It is impossible for Bill Clinton to not make a comment, similar to South Carolina, that would help Obama with voters. Hillary Clinton is the most dangerous when she is seen to be vulnerable. Obama must get the "angry, shrill" Hillary Clinton back on the "stump". If Barack Obama can stop Hillary in Pennsylvania he will be the Democrat nominee and will be able to win in November. One last thought. The Republicans are very aware of the polls showing Obama winning handily over John McCain. There is nothing the Republicans would like more than to have Hillary Clinton as the Democrat nominee. Remember, anyone as President, just not Hillary Clinton!
