Last night, October 4, 2007 Chris Matthews, Hardball Host, was the center of attention at his 10th Anniversary Party at the Decatur House in Washington D.C.

During His remarks, Chris Matthews "Hardball" Host for 10 years, was quoted as suggesting, that the Bush Administration had, "finally been caught in their criminality". Matthews did not refer to any specific criminal behavior.

Attendees included, Alan Greenspan, Former Fed. Chair, Andrea Mitchell, Chief NBC Foreign Affairs Correspondent, Senator Edward Kennedy and Tim Russert, Washington Bureau Chief NBC News and Moderator of Meet The Press.

Chris Mathews said the Clinton Camp never put pressure on his bosses to silence him.

"Not so", this crowd, Matthews added, explaining that Bush Whitehouse officials, especially those from Vice President Cheney's office,  called to complain about the content of his show. Matthews declared, "They will not silence me!"

Chris Matthews left with a parting shot at Vice President Dick Cheney, "God help us if we had Cheney during the Cuban Missile Crisis. We'd all be under a parking lot".

The Whitehouse declined to comment on the events of the evening. NBC refused requests to release video of the event.

Mr. Matthews may be following prevailing political winds. You won't see him make these stands in public,
