Former President Jimmy Carter, today Oct. 10, 2007, denounced Vice President Dick Cheney as a "Disaster" for the Country and a "Militant" who has had an excessive influence in setting Foreign Policy.

Cheney has been on the wrong side of the debate on many issues, including an internal Whitehouse discussion on Syria in which the Vice President is thought to be pushing a tough approach, Former President Carter said.

He (Cheney) is a militant who avoided any service of his own in the military and has been most forceful in the last 10 years in fulfilling some of his more ancient comittments that the United States has a right to inject its power through military means in other parts of the World. Former President Jimmy Carter made these comments during a BBC interview that aired today.

Megan Mitchell, a spokesman for the Vice President was asked to comment on Former President Jimmy Carters Remarks. Megan Mitchell, stated "we are not going to engage in this type of rhetoric".

In may 2007, Jimmy Carter called the George W. Bush Administration the "worst in History", in International Relations.

This scribe wonders, why is it that those individuals that never served in the Military of their country are typically the first to lead with their chins!?

For the record, Former President Jimmy Carter is a Naval Academy Graduate and former Submarine Commander.

Thoughts, opinions..............
