Howard Kurtz, staff writer for the Washington Post, has written today that Don Imus appears to be heading back to the airwaves. Citadel Broadcasting plans to put Imus back on the air on their New York station WABC. The Imus program would be offered in syndication to other stations around the country. Don Imus is also seeking a television outlet to simulcast the radio program. Informal talks over lunch with Fox News Chairman Roger Ailes have occurred, but to this point nothing definite has been announced. Imus is now assembling his broadcast team. Long time associate Charles McCord will be a member with the possible addition of a "black panelist". Bernard McGurk may be back in an off air role. Don Imus is a money maker for any radio station and has always had a following in the area of ten million plus listeners. Well, I suppose Tim Russert, David Gregory, et. al. need to get the new telephone number to the Don Imus Program. Welcome back Imus..............
