Don Imus is back on the radio as of today. Imus will not be simulcast on MSNBC. Instead The Don Imus program will be simulcast on the Cable Channel RFD-TV. The RFD-TV Channel is currently seen in nearly thirty million homes. With the addition of the Imus time slot the network should gain viewers. Senator John McCain was one of the first Imus Program guests along with Senator Chris Dodd and Doris Kearns- Goodwin. It will be interesting to see if Imus favorites Chris Matthews and Tim Russert reappear. They both had dropped Imus like a "Bad Penny" after the Rutgers Basketball incident. Today's program had special $100 dollar tickets sold with proceeds going to the Imus Ranch for Kids with Cancer. Don Imus was stupid at best and reprehensible besides for such idiotic comments. However, many individuals, Politicans, movie types and regular citizens have committed worse offenses in life. It seems to me that Don Imus will be obligated to make his program less offensive and more inclusive. Imus always did draw great guest, politicians, musicians, clergy etc. I for one will look forward to seeing the Imus in the Morning Program as soon as I can get it from my local cable provider.
