Barack Obama was very successful in the "Chesapeake Primaries" tonight. Obama won 75% of the vote in Washington D.C. as compared to Hillary Clinton's 24%. This was no surprise to anyone. In the Commonwealth of Virginia Barack Obama won with 62% of the vote as compared to Clinton's 36%. The breakdown shows that Barack Obama won across all demographic lines even winning 55% of the white men who voted in Virginia. Barack Obama also won the Maryland Primary essentially with the same numbers as Virginia. The Maryland results (the Polls stayed open until 9:30PM Eastern time) were Obama 61% and Clinton 36%. Barack Obama continues to expand his pool of voters. His appeal has been transcendent to all ethnic groups and to both the male and female gender as well as across all age groups, even those over 65 years and above. Obviously a strong influence and strong personality, Barack Obama now has Hillary Clinton on the ropes. Obama spoke most eloquently tonight from Madison Wisconsin, acknowledging John McCain for his service to the Nation and setting himself up as the right alternative to create/initiate and accomplish change. Barack Obama must now prepare himself for the onslaught of negative ads from the Hillary Clinton Political Machine. Hillary Clinton will not go away quietly. Hillary and Bill Clinton will pull out all of the tricks in their "Kit". Hillary Clinton must win in Texas and Ohio as well as Pennsylvania. Should Hillary Clinton not win all of the above her supporters and her contributions will disappear. Remember, elect anyone but Hillary Clinton in November 2008!
