I happened to watch the Today Show recently and they had a segment on plus size clothing. Some of the stores I had never heard before so I was intrigued and began to visit some of the featured sites. One website that caught my interest was called madisonplus.com. Here, I browsed the site and found a beautiful selection of plus sized dresses - ranging from bridal dresses to cocktail dresses, proms, mother of the bride, casual wear, business and that's just for starters! I had a wonderful time searching the site for a cocktail party dress I was attending. Some of the prices were very reasonable and the quality and construction looked quite nice too. I loved the variety of fabrics, styles and colors that were available for any occasion - day or night.

Since I was looking for a cocktail dress, I saw several that would be an answer to my prayers. I was set on a black dress since black is always flattering for a striking silhouette, nevermind it can go anywhere and everywhere. Believe me, I was not disappointed. Some styles included sheaths, retros, lace, v-necks, ruffles, sleeves, cap sleeves, prints, jacket dresses, one shoulder and everything in between! I had so much fun browsing that I had to get back to my original purpose.

Two dresses in particular caught my eye. One was a stretch knit by Kiyonna with a lace overlay that fit like a glove, a satin sash and sleeves, a scalloped neckline and a black or purple lining. I liked the skirt with a little flair and swing that was comfortable and easy to wear. Classy and timeless this vintage number was a winner with a little sex appeal as a bonus! The length was perfect not too short or too long. This was definitely on my to buy list. The other was a sheath, cap sleeves and a ruffled neckline from Xscape, that was very flattering in a taffeta fabric. This dress also came in colors of red and pewter, so that was also an option. I loved them both and could not make up my mind. Both, smart and sophisticated, black, flattering, tasteful and I could probably wear them time and time again. What's a girl to do? Buy them both!
