Cohesion : 9
Computer generated graphics, script, story, and acting are one in the new Transformers movie. There wasn't a single point in the film where I thought to myself "that doesn't belong," or "that wasn't necessary." There are only a couple of questionable minor characters through the entire film, who ultimately didn't distract from an overall tight presentation.

Composition : 9
Human and robot character's successfully connect through good story telling and a great introduction to the Transformers world. Including a historical plot line and not going overboard with secret government organizations was key to creating likable characters. Also, the dialog doesn't ever take itself too seriously. Writers for Transformers movie knew exactly what they were doing.

Contrast : 7
Transformers starts in a war torn desert and moves into the city not forgetting to hit the suburbs and Air Force One on the way. However, Computer Generated Graphics dominate the look of this film despite a great many geographic locations. The visual contrast in this film would have been better served if occasionally, during one of the many fantastic battle scenes, the camera had pulled back and grabbed a larger perspective of the environment they're in. Too many long battle closeups makes my head hurt.

Dynamics : 7
The most dynamic moment in Transformers is when Megan Fox looks under Bumblebee's hood for mechanical problems. You either do know or will know what I'm talking about. That aside, the movie doesn't have a great degree of dynamic variation. The feel is very consistent and grows appropriately throughout. A score of 7 here shows more that the film is appreciably consistent.

Humor : 6
Transformers uses humor to its advantage. There isn't too much or too little of it. If I could give a score for the appropriateness of humor Transformers gets a 10, but I don't want to make it seem like the film is a computer generated comedy.

Intelligence : 6
Transformers doesn't try to be too intelligent. It won't explain the technology and it's willing to make concessions for a great look, feel, and story. In this sense the film is smart by being just a little bit intelligent.

Production : 10
There has never been a film so well produced. Everything about Transformers, especially the graphics, is astounding. Children will once again covet Hasbro Transformers as their most prized possessions. The only thing missing in this production (I was waiting for it) is a Stan Bush cameo.

Quality : 10
If I say anything more about how great this film is I'll lose all credibility.
