Multiple sources have stated that Radiohead began recording a new album in the fall of 2006 but are assumed to have been working on it since early 2005. Many have also claimed that their long time recording engineer Nigel Godrich joined them in the studio sometime in late 2006 or early 2007. There has been a lot of buzz around a possible summer or winter 2007 release.
Radiohead has not released an album since "Hail to the Thief" in 2003 for which Coproducer Nigel Godrich and engineer Darrell Thorp recieved Grammy Awards. The band are currently unsigned after fulfilling a 6 record contract with EMI.
