Looking for something simple and elegant, I needed a dress or suit for a special occasion. My daughter's afternoon wedding ceremony and reception was coming soon. I really wanted a knee length outfit in a gorgeous fabric and a contemporary, yet classic design. I browsed the Neiman Marcus Bridal Shop website for some creative and appealing ideas. And believe me the wow factor is right there! The exquisite designs, from a range of designers, sizes, prices, fabrics and colors were indeed a sight to behold. The traditional high fashion creations in gowns, suits, sets, short and long dresses were a dream list of options - nothing ordinary here.
However, my original thoughts were for a suit or a dress, that would be ideal for the entire day, and an outfit that I could wear to an upcoming anniversary party. Yes, I found exactly what I wanted and more. The gorgeous dresses and suits of silk from Rickie Freeman for Teri Jon, David Meister, Tahari and Lela Rose were more of what I was thinking. The pictures and captions were informative and captivating - exactly my idea of a dream dress. I didn't really want a gown since the occasion really didn't call for one. But the awe inspiring gowns were absolutely gorgeous - only wish I had an occasion to wear one - maybe next time.
The concept of a two piece suit in a bronze color, that was expertly tailored, with a straight skirt and moat shawl collar was more of what I had in mind. Although, I was quite impressed with the pouf-shoulder matelasse dress in a seductive brown knit that featured long sleeves and a ruched v-neck. What's a girl to do? I immediately hurried over to the nearest Neiman Marcus to try on several of these elegant dresses and suits. I found the perfect dress/suit that was sophisticated and fashionable for any well-groomed woman. With the addition of beautiful heels or sandals, a minimum of jewelry and a small purse I was ready for any event. David Meister
