Deep Cover is Left Hand Brewing Company's, from Longmont, Colorado version of an English Brown Ale. I picked this up to try, just because I wanted to see if those with a preference for their left could brew a good Ale. I was not disappointed. Deep Cover pours a dark porter like brown with an aroma of brown sugar and grain. This is very good ale, if a little sweet for me. The predominate flavor is that of the roasted malts and caramel. There are background notes of raspberry, tobacco, and nuts. Overall a nice beer with a medium amount of carbonation. Next time I would try this with a steak or some food that would mask the sweetness. Left Hand as expected brews an assortment of beers and I would not hesitate to try any of them.
