The New York Yankees thought they were getting a solid Number two starter when they gave A.J. Burnett a big contract. Well not all deals were meant to be. My sense from the beginning was that A.J. Burnett was not meant to be a Yankee.

Burnett does not have the mental ability to be a great pitcher and certainly not a Yankee. He is more like a "Hick from the Sticks" who failed in the big time. The Yankees should get what they can for Burnett before the July 31st deadline.

Andy Pettitte  is the real # 2 pitcher behind C.C. Sabathia. Well one for two is not bad for Yankee General Manager Brian Cashman. Sabathia worked out and Burnett has not! A.J. Burnett is a negative with team chemistry. The Yankees ought to give Vazquez a chance, I believe he will do well in the second half of the seaon. With Sabathia, Pettitte, Hughes and Vazquez as starters the Yankees should pursue Roy Oswalt as the fifth starter.

Burnett is a jokester and buffoon, he can take his questionable skills to another city!
