This is a very dense, rich dish with potatoes, bacon and cream. As a side dish, this would be quite high in calories, unless you serve it with a lean piece of meat or fish. If this is your main meal, then the calorie content isn't as bad. The cost of this dish isn't that high as potatoes, spinach and bacon are basic, cheap staple items.
