Persimmons are round, plump-like lightly yellow-orange to a dark red glossy color shined fruit. An excellent source of vitamin A and a good source of vitamin C and fiber.

Eaten fresh, dried, raw or coooked. Peel the skin when eaten fresh as the flesh ranges from firm to mushy and the texture is unique with a sweet flavor.

Serving size is about 1 medium.
