This simple drink (I actually got the inspiration from a Martha Stewart magazine, thanks almighty Martha) is really refreshing and different as opposed to a regular margarita. Not to speak of how much easier it is to juice one or two grapefruits instead of six or seven limes!

Ingredients:
  • 2 parts tequila
  • 2 parts freshly squeezed juice from a blood grapefruit
  • 1/2 part simply syrup (or a little less depending on the sweetness of your grapefruit. Be careful not to over-sweeten this drink)
Method:
Shake well with ice and serve either in a cocktail or margarita glass.

Tue May 01, 2007 10:01 pmI will insist that we make a trip to the liquor store this weekend so we can try this one. I love pink grapefruit and it sounds delicious for a warm spring/summer evening. Thanks for the idea!
