Many people serve shrimp cocktail during the holidays or on festive events. It is such a simple dish, however most people simply buy store-made. Although, there is no reason for that, because it’s quite fast and easy to make your own shrimp cocktail with plump shrimp and tangy cocktail sauce.
When preparing shrimp cocktail, you can either brine the shrimp and then cook them under the broiler, or you can poach them in a herb liquid. Both methods produce good results, however there are fewer steps when you poach the shrimp.
Herb poached shrimp
