Wines From The Willamette Valley

Over the past several years I have had the occasion to review many wines from perhaps fifty different vineyards in the Willamette Valley of Oregon.

Marketing is one of the keys by which vineyards are most successful. Of course the quality of the product is most essential to sales. One of my quirks perhaps are wine bottle corks with the logo of the winery/vineyard applied.

I have gone through many hundreds of photos and have selected at random some of the more interesting bottle corks with the vineyard logo. I have also included an interesting hat and a golf towel.

Some of the wines included here have been excellent, while others just average. No matter, each individual will need to make their personal judgment as to which wine is better or not.

One or two of the corks are either from Washington State or California. Took the liberty of including them in the mix.

Some of my favorites (Excellent wines) include Eola Hills Reserve Pinot Noir, Bethel Heights Pinot Noir, Cubanisimo Pinot Noir and Stone Wolf Vineyards Pinot Noir. I included two wines from Eola Hills, the San Giovese is also excellent!

I also included two wines from Castle Rock Winery, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, modestly priced and very good, second tier choices.

Name: John Bender | Comment: We have been to Belle Vallee in Corvallis. Their wines are good but rather expensive, especially the better Pinot Noir.
