Steve Redman, the managing principal broker for Windermere Valley Real Estate has announced his candidacy for Corvallis City Council Ward 6. This is his second challenge to the multi-term incumbent, Joel Hirsch, as he ran in 2012 earning 43% of the vote.
"My priorities will include neighborhood livability and traffic and parking issues in addition to working to diversify and strengthen the local economy." He also pledges to 'maintain a strong attendance record" at the meetings of the office.
Steve is a 1984 graduate of Oregon State University majoring in Political Science. He has over 25 years of business experience and his community service includes Sgt-of-Arms for the Rotary After-Five Club, finance committee for the Corvallis Elks, and a member of the board of directors for the Corvallis Boys and Girls Club.
In addition, he is a 2012 graduate of leadership Corvallis, the Co-Chair of the Benton County Board of Property Tax Appeals and a Precinct Committee Person for the Benton County Democrats.
