Football players and coaches from Oregon State University will preside Saturday, March 12th, over the sixth annual OSU Youth Football Clinic to benefit the Boys & Girls Club of Corvallis. The popular annual football clinic is for boys and girls in grades three through eight. Beavers head football coach Mike Riley, members of the coaching staff and some team members are expected to attend and teach the clinics. The venue for the event this year will put participants in the footprints of the Beavers: It’s to be held at the Merrit Truax Indoor Practice Facility at OSU, 661 S.W. 30th St., where the team practices and also at Reser Stadium. Saturday’s event begins with registration at 9:45 a.m. The skills and drills begin at 10 a.m. and last until noon. A $5 donation is suggested to support youth athletics scholarship programs at B&GC. Participants should dress in layers, wear football or gym shoes and be prepared for both indoor and outdoor activities, rain or shine.
