Oregon Labor Market Information System Reports Unemployment Rate for June 2011

The unemployment rate for the State of Oregon rose (+.1%) from May 2011( 9.3%) to June 2011 (9.4%). This is being reported by the Oregon Labor Market Information System, Workforce Oregon.

The rate for Benton County went from 6.2% in May 2011 to 6.4% in June 2011 a +.2% increase. The rate Nationally jumped +.1% to 9.2%.

The unemployment rate for Bend, Deschutes County is 12.5% for June 2011, up +.3% from May 2011.

These numbers continue to reflect a weak longterm economic outlook for Benton County, the State of Oregon and unfortunately Nationally.
