On Friday May 13th a group of hardy souls from the Corvallis Senior Center ventured out to McDowell Creek Falls County Park in Linn County Oregon. The weather could not have been better. The temperature was in the mid 60's with bright sun and almost no wind.
We arrived at about 10:30 am and began our hike through some very beautiful terrain including several waterfalls and excellent hiking trails.
The waterfalls, there are several, were absolutely a photographers delight. There were more opportinities to capture a great photo than our time allowed.
This hike was rated as "easy". I do think it was challenging for some in the group and would more appropriately be rated as "moderate difficulty". I say this due to the fact that there were stretches where the incline either up or down was stressful for anyone with a knee problem.
However, all in the group had a wonderful day which ended with lunch at the Northpoint Restaurant in Sweet Home, Oregon.
