Sunday March 27th, Signs of Spring at Mossy Creek. This lovely creek definitely lives up to its name. Moss is thick; trees from mixed forest lean over a pond. We'll probably see a few early wildflowers in the varied, lush vegetation. Easy to moderate, not more than 4 miles, 400 feet of elevation gain. We'll spend much of the time on gravel roads, but there may be some mud. (Note: Some of you saw this area on a longer Feb. 13 hike at Decker Ridge. This is a substitution for the Oak Creek tour, because the specialist for that trip was injured in a bicycle trip.) Meet at the Wilkinson Hall parking lot (Arnold & 27th in Corvallis) for a 1:00 p.m. departure. Contact leader: Doris deLespinasse, 541-753-4775
