Sunday July 22nd was a busy day in Corvallis. DaVinci Days was in the final day of three, the Corvallis Knights played baseball in town and Love Corvallis was busy in downtown Corvallis sprucing up Riverfront Park. I happened upon the group busy sanding, staining benches and picnic tables, cutting grass and pruning trees all along the Willamette Riverfront.
I spoke with Sharon Kirkbride who was busy staining one picnic table with two other helpers. Across from her Realtor (Raise the Bar Real Estate) Alan Daitch was busy pruning trees. Others were sanding benches, edging the grass, pulling weeds and sweeping the sidewalks.
Corvallis and Community, one in the same. People do care very much about Corvallis. Corvallis is the better for that high level of Community involvement. Thanks to Love Corvallis and thanks to all the other community volunteer groups that do so much good for the betterment of all.
