Name: Rob | Comment: This place is pricey and not worth the drive to get there. Half of what they sell in their cold and dusty gift store aren't even hazelnut products. Their hazelnut ice cream is even brought in. If I want bulk items like walnuts or craisins or trail mix, I'm sure not going to spend many more times than a grocery store just so I can get their cute label stapled to the top of the package! The one and ONLY time I was out there I saw spent shotgun shells on the ground. Apparently the owner thinks he's making a dent in the starling population. What a joke!

Name: Sue | Comment: I really have to disagree with Rob! I think Hazelnut Hill is a lovely place to visit: it's very scenic and beautiful on a nice day. Most of the products in their gift store is made of their hazelnuts, and they are delicious. Sure, you're paying a premium for some of it, but it's really worth it. Oh, and as far as the ice cream goes, I don't care if the ice cream is brought in (I think they use Tillamook which is a good local brand anyway), try to find as good of an ice cream cone anywhere else! It's by far the best around. We go there just to get the ice cream, it's layered with chocolate, hazelnuts, and the cone is made with hazelnut too, well worth the drive just to sit outside, look at the scenery and enjoy one of their huge waffle cones.
