Downtown Corvallis Halloween Trick or Treating a Big Success

Monday was a very special Halloween for the many trick or treater's that literally clogged downtown Corvallis sidewalks. I would estimate that there were more than a thousand children and their parents and grandparents going from store to store showing off their unique and in most cases very original costumes.

Most businesses had set up a special Halloween display or had otherwise decorated their business in the spirit of Halloween, literally. Ghosts and Goblins were seen at Robnett's Hardware on Second Street and at the Majestic Theatre and Whiteside Theatre as well.

Grass Roots Book Store was guarded by a witch and warlock. Botticelli's was the place for the kindly witch passing out candy to all the little ghosts and goblins.

The Oregon State Marching Band made the rounds playing in front of American Dream Pizza on Second Street.

I cannot remember seeing so many people in downtown Corvallis at one time. Not even Winters Eve Corvallis or Rhapsody in the Vineyard can compare with the number of trick or treaters traveling through downtown Corvallis tonight.

I do believe fun was had by all, including the "mummy", "Dracula", the "little peacock", The "feline cat" and all of those Star Wars characters!

Corvallis is the one place that is "Family Friendly" and thank goodness for that!
