On Wednesday the Kiwanis Club of Corvallis was paid a visit by Sgt. Michael Mann, Training Sergeant of the Corvallis Police Department, along with his training class, five new recruits.

These fine young men are in the early stages of their training and will at some point, after several months of training, take their place as a patrol officers in the city of Corvallis, Oregon.

The recruits shared their common desire to “serve the community” of Corvallis. Sgt. Mann, who has more than 20 years of service in the Corvallis Police Department, answered questions from Kiwanis members for more than 20 minutes.

Thank you to Corvallis Police Chief Jon Sassaman for making this special program possible. In addition thank you to Sgt. Mann and to the next generation of officers that will protect and serve.
