I frequently drive on highway 99 north of Corvallis towards Monmouth and McMinnville. I have many times driven by the sign directing passersby to "Rogue Ale House 8 miles" and decided this time to find out exactly where this place was located. After several lefts, rights and more twists and turns finally I came upon quite the interesting place, Chatoe Rogue. This quaint Bed & Breakfast is nestled adjancent to a section of the Willamette River, isolated from most everything else. Acres of "Hops" are grown here and reach heights exceeding 12 feet tall. There is in fact a farm house that, according to the information provided, will sleep up to 16 individuals. There is also on this 40 plus acre farm a small restaurant and tasting room. There is no tasting fee. The "sampler" we tried was reasonable at $6. Picnic tables are on a outside deck along with a grass play area and of all things a horse shoe pit! We did enjoy our visit and would return.
