The Cape Perpetua Visitor Center is hosting "Whale Watch Week" from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. today through Saturday, March 26. The center is located at 2400 Highway 101 in Yachats. The event is free of charge. Next week also should be a good time to view gray whales. During the month of March, they usually head north in the Pacific Ocean as part of their trans-continental migration, offering people excellent chances to view them off shore.
